When showing you China, nothing is more important than the person hosting you. They must be gracious, patient, flexible, have a pleasing personality and speak English well. We receive feedback from every client on all aspects of the tour, including the guide. Our guides are selected and trained by our American owner Peter Danford. Most Chinese owned tour agencies have no way to judge the English capabilities of a guide. As a native English speaker Peter is able to find guides up to standard both in language and western style service ability. We give our guides regular training, and you can see some exempts from our guide rule book below the guide photographs. It is the job of our guides to flex your tour to make you happy. We have no shortage of good feedback from our clients, and are happy to show you references. It is possible to hire a guide just for the day without a tour. Please contact us.

Some of our Guide Rules from the company rulebook: 1. Absolutely no commission shopping unless it is specifically written in the itinerary. You can assume all our tours are no shopping. Breaking this rule may result in dismissal. 2. Always give high level of customer service. Think of what people want and need. Be patient and kind. 3. If a client wants to change their itinerary, this is possible. For big changes, inform our office for a final decision. They will need to pay for any additional costs. Simple itinerary changes do not need approval. 4. You must be on time or a little early when picking up guests. 5. You cannot be making personal phone calls or messages during the tour.
