Baisha old town

白沙村   A rural village, Baisha has developed into a minor tourist attraction. In ancient times, Baisha was a center of silk embroidery in southwest China and an important place on the Ancient Southern Silk Road, also called the Ancient Tea and Horse Road or Ancient tea route. Baisha has sprouted shops, cafes and restaurants in recent years and has a nice simple main street. Plenty of genuine local activity to be seen. You can drive to Baisha, its also possible to come bybicycle, on horse back or horse cart. Some people even walk.

Besides the main street, you can also see the Baisha Murals and there are a couple of Embroidery Schools in town which allow you to try your hand at the craft and also sell lots of high quality embroidery.
