The Ancient City Tower offers an excellent vantage point to view in all directions in the walled city of Pingyao. You can look straight down the street as well as across the roofs. An excellent spot for photography or just to get a feel for the city. It is unclear when the tower was first built, it was renovated in 1688. It is 18.5 meters tall.
