Hotel Dejuyuan is where we stayed while doing our research on Pingyao. It is quiet, the service was pleasant and the atmosphere good. It is located in the center of Pingyao old town, on the pedestrian district. You can walk out the door to shops, restaurants and tourist sights. The breakfast was reasonably good and they have espresso coffee. Sakura Cafe, located nearby, is good for a meal, getting on the internet or having a drink and watching the world walk by.
