Westside Mansion

The exquisite Westside Mansion (Xiguan Mansion) is truly the best example of traditional architecture and design in all of Guangzhou. Based in the historic Liwan district, the Xiguan Mansion was once home to only the most rich and successful officials in China and is now a popular destination for those wanting to gain a unique insight into Guangzhou’s past. Grey bricks, chunky wooden doors, and high ceilings are all characteristic design elements in old Guangzhou, and the rosewood furniture throughout the house has been perfectly maintained.
