This tour package is a twist on the standard Golden Triangle itinerary, substituting Shanghai for Guangzhou so you can experience the cultures of both northern and southern China.

This guided tour begins in Beijing, China's modern day capital but also the capital of the Ming and Qing dynasties for hundreds of years. Sights like the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven will give you an insight into the city's imperial heritage. You'll also get to visit the Great Wall — a must on any China itinerary!

From Beijing you'll travel to Xi'an, another of China's ancient capitals, where archeological wonders seem almost ten-a-penny! Of course, the highlight of any Xi'an experience is the tomb of Emperor Qin Shi Huang and the stoic Terracotta Warriors that guarded him in the afterlife.

The tour then moves to southern China, to the bustling coastal city of Guangzhou. Guangzhou has long been famous for foreign trade and business and this international influence is clear in the city's crumbling colonial architecture, which can be seen on Shamian Island. Guangzhou is also famous for its food culture, which you can sample with a meal of dim sum.
