You will start your adventure in China’s capital, where you will take in all of Beijing’s must see sights – the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, and the Temple of Heaven.
The next day will be the one you have all been waiting for – the day you visit the Great Wall of China (and toboggan back down)! Before you leave Beijing, you will get a chance to swing around the city’s backstreets, ride a bike and play with diabolos.
Your next stop is Xi’an, another ancient capital. You will learn about the fascinating Terracotta Warriors, bike atop the city walls, and dig in to tasty snacks in the Muslim Quarter. You’ll also visit the little-known Tango art museum and try your hand at some calligraphy.
Guilin is home to Elephant Trunk Hill, the multi-colored Reed Flute Cave, and awe-inspiring riverside scenes. You’ll see all three of these fantastic sights on your trip.
After a voyage along the Li River, you’ll arrive in Yangshuo, where you will watch an extraordinary night show.
You will start the next day with a refreshing bike ride, followed by river rafting. On the way you’ll stop at the ancient town of Fuli, often called the “home of painted fans.” Don’t forget to bring your swimsuit, because later in the day you’ll head to the Buddha Water Cave for mud baths and hot springs!
Your Chinese adventure will wrap up in the international city of Shanghai! You’ll visit classical gardens, have plenty of chances to pick up souvenirs and stroll down the jaw-dropping Bund, the riverside lined with skyscrapers on one side and old European architecture on the other.
